Kinkaid Private Nursing Care offers the coordination of numerous medical services in the Los Angeles area from the comfort of your home.

What Is Private Home Health Care?

Private in home health care serves the needs of those with a medical condition who want to manage their symptoms or recover in the privacy of their home. Private home health care allows a person to receive high-quality professional home health services without having to leave the comfort of home.

Our Private, Coordinated Medical Services

Kinkaid private nursing care offers the coordination of numerous medical services in the Los Angeles area from the comfort of your home.

Similar to our extensive in-home nursing care services, the medical services we coordinate are private and based 100 percent at home, so we customize our care for each patient and ensure you receive exactly what you need.

Here are the home medical services we coordinate. Click on any of the services below to take you to the part of this page with information on that service or scroll down to learn more.

At Home Doctor

Kinkaid’s team of experienced medical professionals coordinates at-home doctor visits for patients in need of medical attention. We work with you to find exactly what you need and then use our extensive network to find you the right doctor. The doctor then attends to your needs in the privacy of your home and at a time that is convenient for you. After your appointment, we can work with you to determine any potential next steps.

At Home Lab Draw

Our nurses can assist you in giving a blood or urine sample from home, instead of having to go to the doctor’s office. They then take your sample to the appropriate doctor or lab and ensure all logistics are taken care of. We can also collect Covid-19 swabs for the nasopharyngeal PCR test, without you ever having to leave home. Click here to learn more about our in-home Covid-19 testing and care.

While traveling to the doctor’s office or hospital just to receive a blood draw can be stressful and time consuming, it is safe and easy to receive a blood draw from the comfort of your home. Our team of highly trained and experienced nurses can come to your home at a convenient time and perform the necessary bloodwork, without you having to travel. We can then go over your results with you and answer any questions you may have, while also sending all necessary information to your doctor.

At Home IV Therapy

IV Vitamin Therapy involves injecting vitamins, nutrients, and/or other important minerals directly into the bloodstream. Because the vitamins are injected directly into your body, you see and feel the results quickly.

One of the most common IV vitamin therapies is called the “Myers Cocktail.” This cocktail contains all of the essential vitamins one needs, including magnesium, calcium, B-vitamins, and vitamin C. The goal of this cocktail is to boost your immune system to help your body recover faster. It can also provide a quick relief from various symptoms.

Our nurses can come to your home to administer the Myers Cocktail whenever it is convenient for you. The process is fairly quick and very safe and easy to administer from home. Our team can work out a plan or you and can help you determine if you should receive this treatment once or on a more regular basis.

IV electrolyte replacement involves replenishing your body with the necessary electrolytes it needs to function properly. IV electrolyte replacement may be necessary if you urgently need electrolytes or depending on your medical condition. It can also be used to relax your body and provide general comfort.

Receiving IV electrolyte replacement at home is safe and easy. If you choose to receive this service, we send a well-trained nurse to your home to administer the procedure, which is painless and quick, as all it involves is injecting electrolytes into your bloodstream with an IV.

At Home EKG

An electrocardiogram, also called an EKG or ECG, is a simple and non-invasive test that helps doctors better understand a patient’s heart health and diagnose heart-related problems if need be. The test records the electrical signals in the heart and displays the results on a screen. In general, your doctor may order an EKG to find the cause of any of the following symptoms:

  • Chest pain
  • Weakness or general fatigue
  • Shortness of breath
  • Heart palpitations
  • Dizziness or light-headedness
  • Rapid pulse
  • Sense of confusion

Most EKGs are conducted over a period of a few minutes, and our nurses are trained to administer this test in a timely and safe manner from the comfort of your home. That being said, if your doctor would like to monitor your health over the course of a few days or weeks, he or she may give you a mobile EKG to wear throughout the day for an extended period of time, and our nurses are more than happy to help you out with this if need be.

At Home Chest X-Ray

Chest x-rays can be used to help doctors detect a number of issues in your upper body. Examples of some of most common issues detected by chest x-rays include:

  • Cancer associated with the lungs and surrounding areas
  • Rib or spine fractures
  • Heart problems associated with the lungs
  • Changes in the size and shape of the heart
  • Pneumonia

If your doctor orders a chest x-ray, our team of highly trained nurses can administer that x-ray from the comfort of your home and in a safe and efficient manner. We can also help you determine a course of action based on the results of the x-ray and answer any questions you may have.

At Home Acupuncture

Acupuncture aims to reduce pain caused by a number of various diseases and/or general issues. The practice involves placing needles into strategic points of the body to stimulate nerves, connective tissues, and muscles, which can help boost your body’s natural painkilling chemicals.

One of the main benefits of acupuncture is that the procedure is all natural, meaning doctors do not inject any substances or medicine into your body. This means you will not experience the side-effects you may get from various medications. This also means that the procedure comes with nearly no risk, so it cannot hurt to try it if you are looking for ways to reduce pain or increase general comfort.

While acupuncture can be used to treat pain for just about anything, it is used most commonly to treat pain for the following, among other things:

  • Migraines and other headaches
  • Neck and back issues
  • Cancer-related problems
  • Menstrual cramps
  • Migraines and other headaches
  • Seasonal allergies

If you are in need of acupuncture, we recommend receiving the procedure from the comfort of your home. Our team of well-connected medical professionals can coordinate top-notch acupuncture services without you ever having to leave your home.

Private Yoga Instructor

Yoga is a healthy activity for all ages, as it helps build body strength, reduce overall stress, enhance your balance, and improve your overall breathing. To assist in the stress reduction aspect of yoga, it is most beneficial to partake in yoga from the comfort of your home or lawn. This way, you will not ruin that post-yoga feeling of relaxation by having to drive home in traffic.

Kinkaid’s team of medical coordinators can work with you to find the right private yoga instructor for you based on your specific needs. We can then work out a schedule that works for you and coordinate all logistics to ensure the instructor teaches you effective yoga techniques from the comfort of your home.
